Missional Values

The Apostle Peter sets a clear vision for the Church to follow when he writes:

"Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which the angels long to look. Therefore (emphasis mine), preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ" (1 Peter 1:10-13 E.S.V.).

By God's grace we will prepare our minds for action as we learn to value these four spiritual truths in such a way that the ministry at Durkeetown Baptist Church lives them, breathes them and invests in them.

Value One - The Infinite Worth of God - Romans 11:33-36

Value Two - Jesus Christ as our Greatest Treasure - 2 Corinthians 4:5-7

Value Three - The Eternal Reality of the Human Soul -   Matthew 25:31-46

Value Four - The Joy of Obedience - John 15:9-11

As we come to agree with these values we will be compelled to intentionally build relationships with folks who are presently saying no to God, so they will begin to say yes to God.
