The Christ Kerygma
The word "Kerygma" means proclamation - in the Church it specifically means the apostolic proclamation of salvation through our crucified risen Lord Jesus Christ. When Paul taught and explained the kerygma in his letter to the church at Ephesus, he made it clear that it is the heart of our faith - this is incredibly relevant for the church of this day because it has lost the edge of it's sword, made dull by the marketers of religion and through bowing down to the expectations of people.
It will only be through the Spirit-filled procalamation of Jesus as Lord that the church will regain her footing and begin to fight against outside powers with a sense of purpose and advancement.
This sermon series based upon the Book of Ephesians will begin on August 11 and finish on November 24 (continuing for 16 Sundays)
