Rediscovering What is Essential

The church is where the action is. That seems like a ridiculous assertion given how far the church has fallen in position and respect. But, it is true because God has sent the church to be in the world as a place of rescue, a place of protection and a place of judgment. However, before the church can be those things to her neighbors, she must once again become that within her own walls. We cannot complain about how people no longer respect the church when the church, even among Christians, is often disregarded and treated with contempt. As we finish the third series in the season of Pentecost, we take a closer look at I Peter and Rediscover What is Essential for the Church and for Us as a part of the Church.
