Esther is a book in the Bible about God's work - God is at the center of the narrative even though He is never mentioned by name. Isn't that curious? 

There's no mention of the Law, the Temple or worship, however, the astute reader will see the fingerprints of God EVERYWHERE - historically, it's the story of the life of God's people while they are in exile in Persia. How then are they living with BOLD FAITH for God as foreigners in another country? or ARE THEY living for God?  

It's an exciting edge-of-your-seat story line of intrigue, jealousy, abuse of power and revenge - and Esther, the main character of the book, is placed in a dangerous position. The life-or-death fate of her people is placed solely upon her shoulders - and she exhibits BOLD FAITH in God to rescue both them and herself.

The application for the Church today is powerful: How do we live with BOLD FAITH in times when it seems as if God is absent or when we are in exile in a foreign land? Come join us each week to learn the answers to these questions each week of this Lenten season.
